The blueheaded pionus is probably the most commonly seen pionus. In many bird books if you are to see a pionus it is the blue headed pionus. Blue headed pionus are known due to their brighter colors.
The youg blue headed pionus is mainly green with a very small amount of blue. When they are around one year old the blue area will be larger than what it was when they were younger.
The full grown adult blue headed pionus is about 11 inches from head to tail with a wingspan of 18 cm. Their average whieght is about 182-252 grams.
They have a gentle and sweet temperment.

Is your pionus what you expected/better/worse? She is much better. When I got her, she was very scared and bit a lot. After a month of a lot of work, she came around. Now she's a love.
